Exit 24 in Albany. Follow 87 North to Exit 30. Take a left off of the off-ramp onto Rt. 9 North and follow it for two miles to Rt. 73. Continue on 73 for 26 miles to Lake Placid area. Turn left at the traffic light onto Main Street which is also Rt. 86. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/2 a mile up the road on the right just past the Olympic Arena. Drive Time- From NYC- 5 hrs From Albany- 2 1/2 hrs. From Montreal Take Route 15 South to the Champlain Crossing, connect with I-87 South at the boarder. Take Exit 34 West, following Route 9N. Then follow Route 86 to the Whiteface Mountain/Lake Placid area. Continue straight through the traffic light. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/2 a mile up the road on the right just past the Olympic Arena. Drive time- 2 hours. From Ottawa Head South to the Cornwall Bridge. Pick up Route 37 East to Malone. Follow Route 30 South to Paul Smiths College. Follow Route 86 to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Rt. 86 becomes Main Street in Lake Placid. Bear right at the bottom of the hill. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/4 mile ahead on the left opposite parking for Olympic Arena. Drive time- 3 hours.
